Choose Your Option for Enrollment

The following options are available for BLS/ALS/PALS enrollment. Click on the option that works best for you and follow the directions to enroll.

IMPORTANT: READ FIRST

  • Course Approval: MU Health Care covers the fee only when a certification is required for that position; therefore, CED will only approve a course if it is determined that it is needed for the position. If the certification is not required, you will receive an email requesting payment.
  • Campus-Paid Employees: After CED receives your request to enroll, you will receive an email requesting payment information. Once that information is received, the course will be approved.
  • Residents & Fellows: If you are leaving MU Health Care and are due to renew your certification within 60 days of your last day with MU Health Care, you will be required to pay the fees for the courses. After you sign up for a course, you will receive an email with questions regarding your plans to stay at MU Health Care. Depending on your response, the course will either be approved or you will receive further information about payment.
  • Enrolling Prior to 60 Days Before Expiration Date: If you are signing up for an online course 60 days before your renewal due date, you will not have access to the course in HealthStream even if you receive an approval email. You will be able to access your course once you are at least 60 days out from your renewal due date. Note that all certifications expire on the last day of the month.

To complete your BLS skills check-off during a Live ALS or PALS Class, click on the Live Class below that you wish to attend and follow the directions. 

ALS Options

The Online Course options are for renewal. If you have not completed ALS/ACLS before, choose the ALS Live Class option.

PALS Options

The Online Course options are for renewal. If you have not completed PALS before, choose the PALS Live Class option.
