Leading at MU Health Care
Description: Learn what makes leading at MU Health Care unique from other places, including our GROW performance management and engagement philosophy. In addition, hear about our best leadership practices from MU Health Care leaders.
eICS (Electronic Incident Command System) Training
Description: eICS is a tool that the hospital uses to document, communicate, and manage resource during an emergency event and some non-emergency events, such as a DNV survey.
LEAF: Business Support: Payroll 101
Description: Basics of the Payroll Reconciliation Process. This class covers records and retention, payroll deadlines, and what is required by the department each week. All classes are by Zoom only. An invite will be sent the week of class.
Just Culture
Description: This two hour class provides a standard approach to evaluating events that involve our team. This class discusses the investigation process and what to evaluate to guide accountability from an organization and individual perspective.
Plugged In Leadership Event
Description: Unique event to provide newer MUHC leaders with resources to be successful in their new role.

Microsoft Teams
Description: Learn about Microsoft Teams and how it can be used in various positions and departments within MU Health Care. Objectives: -Navigate and use the MS Teams site -Review Teams features and capabilities using live interactive demonstrations -View and understand Teams layout -Create and join a Team and a Channel -Chat in a Team or Channel -Conduct private chat conversations -Upload files to a Channel -Create, use, and manage Calendar Meetings -Manage files -Schedule and join web meetings.
Columbia - Register CRMC - Register
Change and Project Management
Description: This two part series provides tangible resource and tools to better manage daily projects. Learners will be able to explain why change management is an integral component of any project as well. Learners should register for both sessions.
OneNote Essentials
Description: This class is perfect for individuals who are new to OneNote or looking to strengthen their foundational skills in digital note-taking.
Navigating Navex
Description: Informs learners about MUHC's document management system and their role in managing documents in their area.
Quality Improvement Training Program
Description: Learn how to effectively facilitate problem solving through an introduction to lean management principles and quality improvement methodology. Participants will have an opportunity to learn and apply concepts using example projects and interactive exercises over the course of four 2.5 hour sessions.
Crew Resource Management
Description: Learn how concepts from the aviation industry can be applied to prevent and reduce errors in health care. This four-hour live training focuses on team dynamics and communication, and is appropriate for all MUHC roles and experience levels, and is taught by Steve Chafe - an Air Force Veteran with a 20+ year career as an airline pilot.
forYOU
The forYOU Team is a multidisciplinary peer support team developed to help address the needs of MUHC staff who are impacted by a difficult case or event. If you’re interested in learning more about the ‘second victim’ phenomenon and are passionate about supporting those around you, please join the forYOU Team! Training is offered twice per year; please contact forYOU@health.missouri.edu for the next available session. Office of Clinical Effectiveness (OCE)
The Office of Clinical Effectiveness (OCE) seeks to assist MU Health Care in enhancing our collective ability to continuously improve the quality and value of the care we provide and the overall health of the population we serve. OCE (which includes the departments of: AMBULATORY CARE IMPROVEMENT, INFECTION CONTROL, PATIENT SAFETY, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, RISK & REGULATORY, and VALUE DRIVEN OUTCOMES AND ANALYTICS) is pleased to offer educational opportunities throughout the year to support the Mission and Vision of MUHC.
